Pennsylvania Farm Table (circa 1800’s)

Pennsylvania Farm Table

This Classic Pennsylvania farm table was replicated in 1985 from one owned by Ms.Carla Harry of Douglas, Pennsylvania. The original had a worn aged mustard paint finish that revealed a dark red under coat.  As antique dealers say “it has all the bells and whistles”. With its graceful tapered legs, to its well proportions overhang of its breadboard top, it says classic.

As early American families prospered many of these tables were relegated to lesser spaces.  Many ended up neglected in the basement; many of these were lost to moisture damage.  Today finding a decent table that has not lost and inch or two is rare.  To find a table that has not been altered commands a premium price, if one is able to find one.

We offer the farmable form length from four to eight foot.  Custom length and widths are available upon request.  This table is constructed in the same form and manner, as was the original. This piece has all the same visual appearance and appeal of an antique farm table, minus the age.  (Note.. This table has appeared in many magazines, Early American Life, Country Living and others.  This piece was also on the set of Steven King’s movie “The Dark Half”, along with other works in our collection)
